Admission of
New Partners
The firm is
very pleased to announce that Ms. Olivia Lai, Ms. Anne
Chu, and Ms. Ritz Yeung have been admitted as partners
of the firm effective as of April 1st, 2006. The
incoming partners possess many years of practice
experience and will add depth and breadth in the core
competence and management of the firm.
While Ms.
Olivia Lai and Ms. Anne Chu will spearhead the firm's
expanding Personal Injury practice, Ms. Ritz Yeung will
focus on the strategic development of our commercial
litigation practice. "Adding depth in our management
structure is absolutely vital," said Senior Partner
Mr. Greg So, "in our quest to emerge as one of the top

So, Lung & Associates
win major decision for property developers
On 2nd November 2005, So,
Lung & Associates acting on behalf of the
property developer won a decisive judgment in
favour of their client. When the Court of Final
Appeal dismissed the minority owner's appeal
against the property developer's right to apply
to the Lands Tribunal for a compulsory order
requiring sale of the lot for the purposes of
redevelopment.

Senior Partner Mr. Greg So appointed
as a Member of the
Hospital Authority
Our senior partner Mr. Greg So
has been appointed by the Secretary for Health,
Welfare and Food, Mr. York Chow, as a member of
the Hospital Authority effective April 1st, 2006
for a term of two years.
The Hospital Authority is
a statutory body under the Hospital Authority
Ordinance to manage all public hospitals in Hong
Kong. The Hospital Authority currently manages a
Head Office, 43 public hospitals / institutions,
46 specialist outpatient clinics and 74 general
outpatient clinic. As at 31 March 2005, the
Authority managed a total 28,176 hospital beds.
It employs about 52,000 staff (full-time
equivalents as at 31 December 2005). For
2005/2006, the Authority's recurrent expenditure
budget from Government, net of income, is
HK$27,110.3 million.
Chief Executive
appoints Mr. Greg So
as Council and Court Member of Lingnan University
Mr. So, senior partner of
the firm, is honoured to be appointed an
ex-officio member to the Council and Court of
Lingnan University. Mr. So is one of six new
members of the executive body who began their
three year term on October 22nd, 2006.
Lingnan University is a
liberal arts university with the vision of
bringing a new era of liberal arts education to
Hong Kong and the region. Academic programmes
include integrated, environmental and
behavioural sciences, creative media and fine
arts.

Our partner Mr. Greg So appointed a China-Appointed Attesting Officer
by the Ministry of Justice of the PRC
We are pleased to
announce that our senior partner Mr. Greg So was appointed
a China-Appointed Attesting Officer by the Ministry
of Justice of the People's Republic of China
("PRC") in February, 2003. Mr. So is therefore
authorized to attest and certify legal actions,
documents and matters in Hong Kong for use in
mainland China.
According to the relevant rules of the Supreme People's Court and
the Ministry of Justice of the PRC, any mainland businesses handled
by any person, company or organization in Hong Kong that require
the recognition of relevant authorities in the mainland shall be
attested by a China-Appointed Attesting Officer.
"It is a privilege to have Mr. So appointed as an attesting officer," said our
senior partner Mr. Lung Siu Wing, "as it signifies the beginning of a new level of services
we can now offer to our clients who have financial interests in the PRC."
